For reliable scheduling, yes. Claude's scheduled tasks need a paid plan. ChatGPT offers scheduled tasks on every plan including Free. Free and Go accounts reportedly only get a rough time of day, though, not an exact time. Plus or above is the safer bet if you want it landing at the same time daily.
