THIS IS HOW WEBSITE IN A WEEK PLAYS OUT

  • 01 - WE LOCK IT IN

    Once you’ve paid for your website in a week, you’ll receive an email with a booking link (note you can only book 8 weeks in advance) so you can lock your start date in. I’ll also request that you provide me with an outline of the 6 key pages you require.

  • 02 - RECEIVE YOUR WELCOME PACK

    I’ll send you a welcome pack including a helpful preparation guide for selecting your template, copy template, branding questionnaire and a briefing kit with everything you need to start compiling and creating (login details, branding, words and imagery etc.). This is all due one week before we start your build.

  • 03 - WE CONFIRM YOUR TEMPLATE SELECTION

    Together we will select the best base template for your needs and lock that in. I’ll hold your hand and help you determine the best option.

  • 04 - PREPARE YOUR CONTENT

    Using your website welcome pack, you’ll prepare your login details, branding, words and imagery to fit within the layouts of your chosen design. This will be submitted to me one week before we start your build.

  • 05 - KICKOFF CALL AND HOME PAGE

    We’ll have a kickoff call on day one of the build to go over the project and make sure I completely understand your vision. I’ll then design your homepage and send it to you for feedback as it’s the most important page to have nailed.

  • 06 - THE BUILD

    I'll commence and complete the buildout of the remainder of the website based off your selected template and the direction we’ve gone down for the home page. Your beautiful website that you’re excited to share is just about there now.

  • 07 - THE REVIEW

    You’ll then have the opportunity to review the entire site and come back to me with any little tweaks and changes. I’ll complete the changes and get you to sign off on the build. Your site is now done!

  • 08 - LAUNCH YOUR WEBSITE

    By the end of the week your new website will be ready for you to shout out to the rooftops. We’ll send it live and I’ll give you a video handover that will show you everything you need to know to edit each section of your website so if you desire to make changes as your business grows and changes, you’re empowered and equipped to do so.

The As to your Qs

  • There are a few bits and pieces you’ll be responsible for:

    Your brand’s colours, fonts and logo if you have one

    20-30 of your best images for me to use throughout the site

    The copy you want on each page (ensuring it’s in line with the template you’ve selected)

    Your SEO title and descriptions for each page (optional)

    The cost of your domain, email, and Squarespace Business plan

    Third-party accounts such as Instagram, email providers etc.

    Your time! I’ll need you to be available throughout the week for planning, reviews and editing

  • At least 2 weeks in advance so I have enough time to prepare everything that's needed for the week, and so you have enough time to prepare everything I need submitted by your one week prior to the build commencing.

  • You will require the Business Squarespace plan as a minimum (see pricing for Squarespace here).

    You’ll also need to purchase your domain name (website URL) and possibly an email account. If you choose to host your domain and email account with Squarespace, you may be able to get the first year of domain and email hosting for free.

  • Apart from the kickoff call, I’ll need you to be available throughout the week for planning, reviews and editing. I will probably check-in with an update 3-4 times throughout the week. Often this will just be an update on progress, or I may have questions. The more responsive you are the smoother the process will be :)

  • As soon as possible. Because you’re working within an already designed layout, there’s guidelines for your copy, images and branding that you’ll need to follow. These guidelines will help you be so much more efficient when you are complying everything.

  • It really depends on what the changes are.

    If it’s logo, words, and images – absolutely, I populate your new site with your logo, copy and imagery for you.

    Colour and font changes – That’s a yes again! You provide your branding and I style your site using your colours and fonts you’ve selected.

    Page layout changes – This really depends on the extent of the changes. you require. I understand that you might want a single section added here or there, or some minor tweaks which is fine, but any major structural changes or customisations to the actual layouts are not included in the base pricing and timeline of a one week website. You could, however, opt to add customisations yourself once the site is handed over or you can hire me to add customisations once handover is complete. I’m happy to discuss this option at any point.

  • Due to the fast-paced nature of this service, payment for your Website in a Week is required upfront.

    If you cancel less than 14 days before your Website in a Week start date you will receive 50% back. If you cancel more than 14 days before your website in a week start date you will receive a full refund, but will be responsible for any bank fees.

    If you need to reschedule you can do so for free within a 30 day period.
